报告人简介:
冯云田,英国斯旺西大学工程学院辛克维奇计算中心教授。1993任英国斯旺西大学高级研究员,2009 年任英国斯旺西大学教授。近 30 年来,在计算力学和岩土工程与科学计算领域一直活跃在国际学术前沿。近十多年来,重点研究领域为非连续介质与散体力学。侧重研究了脆性材料(如岩石,混凝土)在低速与高速冲击载荷作用下(如导弹等)的损伤、多重断裂(multi-fracturing)与破碎(fragmentation)的数值模拟,在该领域处于世界领先地位。从 1998 年起,冯教授在离散元法基础理论和算法的发展、完善与应用方面做出了许多独创性或国际领先的成果,是国际颗粒与块体离散元研究领域的学术权威。目前担任《Engineering Computations》,《Computational Particle Mechanics》, 《International Journal of integrated Engineering》, 《Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering》,《计算力学学报》等国际国内期刊编委,发表学术论文 200 余篇,在国际知名数值计算方法学术会议中做大会报告或主题报告 20 余次。斯旺西大学辛克维奇(Zienkiewicz)计算中心是国际知名的计算力学中心之一,由有限元数值方法先驱者之一辛克维奇(Zienkiewicz)建立。
报告简介:
The discrete element method (DEM) has advanced significantly since it originated in 1979. This talk aims to provide an overview of some major developments in contact theory and models for non-spherical particles, especially for the energy-conserving contact (ECC) theory over the last two decades. Various shape representation schemes for non-spherical particles are first presented using a classification system, followed by the critical review of contact modelling approaches for almost all contact types of non-spherical shapes. In addition to outlining key ideas, concepts and novel computational procedures that are proposed in these methodologies in a systematic and logically constructed manner, their evolutions and inter-relations in particular are also discussed in detail. Moreover, possible problems and unresolved issues for each method reviewed are highlighted, and possible solutions are pointed out where applicable.
