报告摘要:Bedload transport processes can be modelled over a range of space- and timescales. Basic 1-Dimensional formulations provide reliable first-order models of bed level, surface grain-size and sediment transport. It can be difficult to define unique solutions as similar model results can be obtained with different boundary conditions and parameter settings. Consequently, model sensitivity has to be evaluated carefully. This can be done - the 1-D model SEDROUT has been applied to rivers with bankfull discharges ranging from 5 to 10 000 m3/s. Recent extensions to SEDROUT have incorporated 2-Dimensional effects. The application of the model to several river management issues is discussed, including: simulation of river response to channel straightening; impacts of flow regulation on confluence dynamics; and, potential impacts of changing climate on river beds and sediment loads. The limitations of the SEDROUT approach are discussed, along with possible future improvements to model formulation and data for calibration and testing.
