梁东方,英国剑桥大学工程系副教授、丘吉尔学院教导主任,英国土木工程师学会剑桥郡分会主席,SCI期刊Journal of Hydrodynamics, Maritime Engineering副主编,2012年松前国际友好基金会Fellow,2013年德国洪堡学者(Humboldt Fellow for Experienced Researchers),2016年欧盟第七框架玛丽居里研究员。发表200余篇论文,其中SCI论文100余篇,在Web of science 核心数据库共被引用2300余次、h-index 为25。
报告简介:
This talk will cover several topics concerning the numerical solution of strong soil-water interactions, such as landslides, sediment transport and wave runup on sandy beaches. The coupling of the two phases will first be achieved in the framework of shallow water equations in the context of flood risk management. Then, the necessity of the coupling will be explained in the context of the stability of earth embankments and offshore pipelines. The traditional shock-capturing mesh-based finite volume method and a modern meshfree method – Material Point Method (MPM) – will be introduced in achieving the coupling.
