报告人简介：
      Ian Guymer, Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Sheffield, is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. His research interest centers on identifying and quantifying solute transport and mixing processes in urban drainage and treatment systems. His fundamental research has been supported by EPSRC, NERC, and the EU, with applied research funded by Unilever, Water Utilities, the Environment Agency and Highways England. In 2016, Ian was appointed the Institution of Civil Engineers 1st Academic‐in‐Residence under their “Shaping‐the‐World – turning knowledge into action” initiative. This unique appointment utilizes academic skills, expertise, and a willingness to engage with industry, developed during an academic career, to challenge accepted thinking and develop novel, sustainable solutions to societal challenges. In 2017, Ian won a prestigious 5‐year £1.5M EPSRC Established Career Fellowship on “Modelling Mixing Mechanisms in 1D Water Network Models”. As part of this Fellowship, a program of laboratory and full‐scale field measurements, will collect data to be analyzed using system identification techniques.
