OBJECTIVES

Asian-Pacific Symposium on Structural Reliability and its Applications (APSSRA) is held every four years (between the ICOSSAR conferences) in different Asian-Pacific countries. Each of the APSSRA's is an international forum for the exchange of information and discussion on the recent developments and innovative applications of the concept of structural safety and reliability. The first APSSRA was held in Tokyo, Japan in November 1995 and the second in Taipei, Taiwan in February 1999. The third was held in Seoul, Korea in August 2004. The fourth APSSRA will be held in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 18-20 June 2008.
