报告人简介：

Professor Joo-Heon Lee, Ph.D., is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at Joongbu University, Korea. He holds degrees in Hydrology and Water Resources from Kyung Hee University. Currently, he leads the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and the Drought Research Center. He is also a member of the Presidential National Water Management Committee of Korea and Vice Chair of the UNESCO IHP Korean National Committee.

This seminar will explore innovative strategies for sustainable water management, focusing on drought management and the conservation of aquatic ecosystems. Professor Joo-Heon Lee will introduce the Hydrological Science Lab and highlight the latest frontiers in drought research. The discussion will emphasize the importance of ensuring ecosystem connectivity for sustainable river management. Additionally, the seminar will assess global water security over the past two decades, evaluating progress toward SDG6. Attendees will gain insights into effective practices and policies that promote resilience in water resources and support ecological health.
