      Chin-Fu Tsang教授(高级研究员)为地下渗流与传输、岩体多场耦合效应等领域的世界著名专家,获得英国曼彻斯特大学学士学位和美国加州大学伯克利分校博士学位,曾担任伯克利国家实验室高级研究员、英国帝国理工学院和瑞典乌普萨拉大学访问教授等职位。发表SCI论文250多篇,被引用18000余次(Google Scholar), H因子 = 65。


报告简介:

     Hydrogeology in the deep subsurface is highly heterogeneous. There is strong variations in rock transmissivity and in water chemistry or salinity. Under non-equilibrium flow conditions, the system will also display spatial variation in hydraulic pressure. To understand such a system it is important to be able to have in situ data from a borehole on the rock transmissivity, water salinity and hydraulic pressure as a function of depth. Flowing fluid electric conductivity (FFEC) logging has been shown to be effective to obtain such data for both porous medium and fractured rock in a short time period without the need for highly specialized downhole probes. The talk will introduce the FFEC logging method and present a recent application to a 2.5 km borehole in fractured rock in Sweden, together with some recent development of a simple direct method to measure hydraulic pressure heads of transmissive zones in the subsurface.
