报告人简介：

      Professor Hajime Nakagawa  is  the director of Ujigawa Hydraulics Laboratory, and the head of the Research Center for Fluvial and Coastal Disasters, Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University.  He obtained a doctor degree in Engineering fromKyotoUniversitywith the dissertation title “Risk assessment of flood and debris flow”. Prof. Nakagawa received lots of academic awards such as “Best paper award of Hydroscience and Hydraulic Engineering, JSCE” and “The Award for Distinguished Contributions to Sediment Research in 2013(IJSR)”.  He is the executive director of Japan Society for Natural Disaster Science, and the vice president of WASER (World Association for Sedimentation and Erosion Research). Porf. Nakagawa’ research topics cover sediment transport, debris flow, inundation, natural dam failure, river embankment failure, non-structural countermeasures against flooding and debris flows, and etc.
