报告内容简介：

This talk will give a broad overview of computational modeling research, mostly using the open source CFD platform OpenFOAM, in Dr. Liu’s environmental fluid mechanics research group at Penn State University. The first part of the talk will give a short introduction of OpenFOAM and the second part will showcase several research projects, including flow around large woody debris (trees), scour protection, sediment particle transport, and buoyancy flows.

刘小峰教授简介：

Xiaofeng Liu is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environment Engineering at Penn State University. He got his bachelor’s degree in hydraulic engineering from Tsinghua University, master’s degree in environmental science from Peking University, a second master degree in applied math from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). In 2008, he got his Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from UIUC. He is serving as Associate Editor of the Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, ASCE and vice-chair of the ASCE EWRI computational CFD task committee.
